The M3 features a number of innovations distilled from the flagship OASYS including the new EDS (Enhanced Definition Synthesis) sound generator derived from the HD-1 engine design, the advanced second-generation KARMA functionality, and the multi-purpose control surface. Adding innovations such as the new concept of “virtualized hardware” that allows an even closer integration with DAW systems, Drum Tracks which provide a instant groove to play along with, and the new "Korg Komponent System" concept that facilitates more flexible system construction, the M3 music workstation/sampler opens a new and exciting page in music making - it’s the workstation that rightfully deserves to wear the “M” that started it all.

The R3 is a full-fledged synthesizer that provides an easy way to enjoy the delights of sophisticated synthesis and advanced sound creation. In a compact and light-weight body, it packs 37 fullsize, velocity sensing keys, along with two-timbre/eight-voice performance power.

The sound generator section uses the same acclaimed MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology) used by the KORG RADIAS, delivering thick, gutsy, and crisp analog sounds. With quality that will satisfy both professionals and beginners, the R3 is a great choice for adding synth sounds on stage or in music production.

The versatile range of built-in oscillator algorithms covers everything from familiar analog synthesizer waveforms, to the unique formant waveform, noise, DWGS PCM waveforms and even live audio input. Starting with these oscillator algorithms, you can use a powerful synth engine coupled with simple operations to produce an enormous range of tonal variation. Each timbre can use up to two Insert effects plus EQ, and a global Master effect can be used to process the sound of the entire R3. Add an ultra-powerful formant-recording vocoder, and the R3 gives you plenty of possibilities to enjoy creating synthesizer sounds.

Korg has a fabulous new synthesizer... The Radias is a RACK that can be attached to a special keyboard unit and then be tilted, very much like the old minimoog !

We had a pre-demo on Friday the 3th of March in our shop, and man oh man this baby sounds SUPER !!!

With a bold new approach that is at once both daring and familiar, RADIAS exceeds common analog expectations and rapidly takes off for uncharted territories. Based on Korg's cutting-edge MMT engine, this 24-voice synthesizer offers a variety of synthesis algorithms together with multiple effects, new comb filter and wave shaping features, modulation sequencing, as well as new formant-motion vocoding.

INNOVATIVE TIMBRE SYNTHESIS TEAMED WITH REMARKABLE FIDELITY

The heart of RADIAS beats with Korg's cutting-edge MMT (Multi Modeling Technology) synth engine, and borrows much of its modeling techniques from Korg's flagship OASYS – eliminating aliasing noise in even the highest frequencies and delivering clean, pure waveforms. RADIAS provides two oscillators for each timbre. Between them, they deliver not only modeled analog waveforms, but also formant waveforms, noise, ring modulation, sync, plus both classic and up-to-date PCM waveforms. When using the analog modeled waveforms, a variety of oscillator modulation algorithms – including pulse-width modulation, a massive Unison mode, Korg's proprietary VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) or cross modulation – can be used to create complex sounds, even from a single oscillator.

RADIAS provides a dual-filter structure, allowing the two filters to be used individually, side by side, or in series for maximum versatility. Filter 1 is highlighted by a continuously variable multi-mode filter, embracing Low Pass, High Pass and Band Pass modes – and new treatments in between. This dual filter arrangement provides a vast range of sounds that would be unimaginable from just a single filter, and opens up new sonic possibilities including some fantastic comb filtering.

Three Envelope Generators (EG) are used to apply time-varying changes to the pitch, filter cutoff, and amp level, as well as many other parameters. The classic and intuitive four-stage ADSR design has been enhanced with five different attack and release curves, allowing the EG contours to be crafted with new levels of precision and articulation. Two LFOs are available to apply cyclic changes to a host of synth parameters. Six LFO waveforms are provided, including the popular “Sample & Hold” stepped wave. Each waveform can be extensively modified via the Shape control, greatly expanding the versatility of the LFO section for creating highly complex types of modulation.

Adding Drive can produce the distinctive warmth of a true analog synthesizer and can also distort the sound intensely to generate new overtones. The amount of Drive is dependent on the level of each voice as it enters the mixer, so you can create nuances that cannot be achieved by an external effect unit. RADIAS offers eleven innovative types of Wave shaping – even recreating the shaping circuit can be placed in different locations in the signal chain, affecting the sound in very meaningful ways. An additional Punch Level setting emphasizes the attack portion of the sound, letting you create sounds with even more impact. Clearly, this is a radical new instrument that is not bound by conventions of the past.

The new X50 music synthesizer from Korg !

The 64 MB PCM memory contains a wide range of sounds, including piano, strings, guitar, and synth sounds. With 512 sound Programs, as well as 384 “Combinations” that let you use up to eight Programs together, you can start enjoying a diverse selection of great sounds right away. The effect section lets you simultaneously use four effects (one insert effect, two master effects, and one EQ), and provides a full selection of effect types such as reverb, chorus, and delay. Best of all, the X50 is compatible with Korg's TR line of music workstations so you can share sounds and songs with Korg users around the world.

An arpeggiator lets you play a variety of phrases using just one finger, and the X50 provides two polyphonic arpeggiators!

The X50 organizes its vast array of sounds into sixteen categories, and provides a Category Select function that makes it quick and easy to choose the sound you need from the category you specify.
The X50 packs professional-quality sounds and a wide range of functions into an amazingly light and compact body. .

The X50 also provides a USB connector that lets you establish MIDI connections with your computer using a single cable – no interface needed. A powerful Multi mode give you 16 parts to create music with, with the full complement of effects and other settings to make complete songs using only the X50 and your computer. 128 Multis can be saved and recalled, with 16 preloaded covering many common music styles and genres.

It also comes with editor/librarian software that makes it easy to create and organize sounds using your computer. Two versions are provided: a traditional stand-alone application and an innovative plug-in version (VST, AU, and RTAS formats supported) that can run within your DAW and MIDI sequencing software. Both versions are colourful, graphic-rich, and provide a wonderful interface for working with the X50 in all its modes.
