ART TubeFire8 Tube-Driven Firewire Interface
ART packs eight top-quality, second-generation discrete Class–A vacuum tube mic preamps and a headphone out into a single rack space, with balanced analog, FireWire, and Word Clock I/O around back. Outputs can be fed from the mic preamps as an in-line eight channel tube preamp, or from the high-grade D/A converters making it a multi-channel audio interface for any FireWire equipped computer recording system. Each input features XLR and ¼-inch TRS balanced input jacks with 70dB of gain, plus –10dB Pad, High Pass filter, Phase Invert, clip indicators and a wide-range LED meter. Four selectors in the headphone section let you monitor either Preamp or D/A in pairs. This means no latency when recording tracks (select Preamp on tracks you’re recording, and computer output for the other tracks.) The ART TubeFire8™ ships with Cubase LE for Mac or PC, and is fully ASIO compatible for OS-X, Windows-XP and Vista.
