More than 800 instrument voices are built in PSR-S700. Several of these voices are coming from top class Tyros so that you can find 14 Live! Voices, 18 Cool! Voices and 11 Sweet! Voices as well as 10 Mega! Voices which features various playing and performance sounds, for example like finger slides and fret noises on a Guitar Voices. These Mega! Voices are mainly use in several of the 205 internal accompaniment-styles and allows the compatibility to all XT-Song- and Style-Data (TYROS (1)).

For each Style there are four One Touch Setting so that you get the perfect instrumental setting by pressing just one button. The OTS-Link-Function allows you to change automatically through the One Touch Setting just by changing the Style-variation.

If you want to play a certain music of specific song and don’t know which Style to choose, the powerful Music Finder feature can help. Simply select a song title or a keyword, all appropriate panel settings are reconfigured to match the genre, including the appropriate voices, style and effects. Music Finder+ also works with the Internet Direct Connection (IDC) feature, giving you instant access to additional free Music Finder records and collections to help when your favourite song or music isn’t on the instrument.

The graphic-displays shows the song notation of a midi file (score) as well as lyrics (for midi-songs that have score and lyric data).

In addition, PSR-S700 has got a Pitch Bend- and a Modulation-Wheel. The Bass-Reflex-speaker system and the amplifier system with 2 x 12 watts makes the most powerful sound. Because of the integrated Network-connector (LAN-Port) PSR-S700 is well prepared for Yamaha’s Internet Drirect Connection (IDC). The USB-to-device connections opens the possibility to connect your USB-storage device to the instrument so that you got nearly unlimited capacity.

The top DGX620 (shown) offers a new GHS-keyboard with 88 weighted keys. And therefore feels like a piano.

The DGX520 is similar though with a slightly weighted keyboard.

Both the 520 and 620 come with a stand, where the DGX220 does not come with a stand.
